Design of a low-cost SMS based monitoring system

Linkwise SMS monitoring system is a low-cost solution design with an advanced and reliable system that allows users to receive critical alarm signals through SMS and email once equipment fails or a problem arises. Designed with a user-friendly user interface (UI) that displays the current status and information of devices connected to it. The UI shows the real-time data and no software is needed to install as it is 100% open source.

How does SMS monitoring system work?

SMS monitoring system is installed with panel composed of monitoring controller that monitors the status of pumps, sensors and other equipment. The controller will then notifies the registered users when a critical alarm happens (ex. Equipment failure) and when normalizes (the problem has been fixed). All notifications are sent via text and email. The status may also be view through remote monitoring using personal computer (PC) on the same network. The data then can be stored to the servers and data base or may archives the data with time stamps.

Receiving SMS with Picobox Monitoring Controllers

Picobox monitoring controllers are small devices with full features and functionality. It is designed to send instant alarm updates through SMS and email when something happened to one of the equipment and thus preventive action can be taken care of immediately. The facilities managers can now easily monitor the status of each device and equipment in real-time and remotely.
